Install Door Casing Before Carpet

I ll assume you re installing a door and jamb if you aren t installing a jamb i d hold off on the door until the carpet is installed so it s not in the way. Keeping the shims and the fasteners low helps to prevent the carpet installers from moving the jambs out of position when they come along with their knee kickers.
